Happy hunting/shooting!! Answered by Sawmill - Fri Sep 14 00:28:31 2007 How do I get my 1 year old bird dog to swim in my pool? Q. It's not cold at all, but she won't swim. She won't fetch though, and she won't be bribed by food. Any good ideas? Asked by Hollister_Girl - Sun Jul 15 19:55:58 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Some dog just don't like the water. Fetching for my dog worked the best, she loved to jump in and it was really good excercise. We first put on a float and she would use that to try to get her ball, eventually it wasn't enough for her and she started jumping in on her own. I'm not sure she'd ever go in unless something was thrown for her. Just make sure she knows how to get out...which is always a good idea incase she ever falls in when your not around. Q. I have a rooftop garden and my dog has access to it. However, it licks at bird droppings. Has anyone faced the same problem or know the cause for it. A friend told me it is due to calcium deficiency - is it true or is it just bad habbit. Any soloutions? - Serious answers only. It gets annoying when you're trying to go for a walk and your dog stops at every dropping. Maybe you should just call up your vet and ask them.
